It's all in the name

Well hello there, I never thought I'd have a blog but here it is. The hardest part was picking the name. We writers always obsess over words. So I looked up lark in my thesaurus and it said, "antic, caper, escapade, frolic, fun, gambol, game, jape, mischief, prank, spree"....just to mention a few. And I thought, what the heck. I want to tell you about my antics, my travels, my fun-times, and my thoughts which, I guess, could be considered escapades or capers. My mind does tend to wander sometimes. I'm thinking this might be a bit of fun, especially, if you answer me and post something back. My teachers back in grade school always told my mother that I talked too much and disturbed everyone around me so here I am legitimately talking too much and hopefully causing people to talk back. And it's all okay. No one is going to send a note home on my report card. We can talk about writing, life, travelling, kids (this year I'll have three in three different schools, yikes), or even pets. We have two dogs and a cat.
Lately, I've been singing, It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!!! Soon, very soon, I tell you, I'm going to get back to my writing. I'm always on a bit of a hiatus in the summer as the moments just seem to cruise by and I don't get down to spending hours in front of my computer. I guess that's why we have summer. But...I do love reading in summer and polished off a few books. I love paperbacks in the summer and I read a great book by Canadian mystery writer Pat Capponi, titled Last Stop Sunnyside. It was her first novel and what a treat. I think it was my favourite summer read. What's yours?
